Debbie Schmillen Prayer Team November 5, 2009

Don- You don't have to Imagine anymore.  I see you walking with Christ now.

Eilene and girls- Thank you for allowing me to pray over you and for you the last 2 years.  I know your sorrow is deep even though you know that God is with you.   In your journey you have witnessed to many others your faith in the Lord as you walked through these very hard times.  We all saw you trust in the Lord and cherish each day you had together.  I continue to pray for God's love and peace over you.

With Christ's love

Debbie Schmillen

When people talk of being "Jesus with skin on", Don Bowen is the man! I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to be a friend to Don and Eileen as well as the girls! I loved serving with Don on the worship team at Northwoods. No matter how Don felt, he ALWAYS wanted to know how things were with my family or how work was going, or how he could pray for ME! I wanted to be there for HIM, but he always turned it around! He sincerely loved everyone he met! Don will be missed greatly, but we are thankful that his suffering has ended and he is now singing on the worship team in heaven!

Eileen and Girls,

What an awesome guy you have been blessed to have in your life.  And now he is in the presence of our Lord.  Everytime I consider the awesomeness of this it literally takes my breath away.

I pray you find peace as you imagine Don in the very presence of our Holy, Holy, Holy God.

Pam Thinking of You November 4, 2009
Eileen and Girls: I have had the pleasure of meeting your husband/father at church, through my sister, Dawn Henderson. His love for life and faith in Christ were so evident in his words and actions. He had this wonderful grasp of life that he shared with everyone he met. Since then, I have followed your families fight with this nasty disease through Don's blogging, updates from church, and my sister. His love for Christ and his love for his family continued to shine as he walked this ugly road. I offer you our condolences for the loss of your husband, and the girls, for the loss of their father. My heart goes out to your family with our prayers. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you. The Henderson Family

Eileen and Fab Four;

I just want you to know that my heart is grieving with and for you at the loss of your husband and father. What an incredible brother and friend Don has been to me and so many others. While I rejoice that he is home with Jesus, I know his departure has left a void in your hearts that nothing this side of heaven will ever fill. Know that I hold you all in the highest regard and thank God for your amazing examples of trust and surrender to our Lord in the face of this battle you have waged for 2 years. May you experience a strong sense of our Lord's presence walking with you and holding you close!

Love and blessings,

Cal
